MISSISSIPPI 2015

SECOND STOP in Mississippi was in Waynesborro.  Here we started our first MMAP (Mobile Missionary Assistance Program) project (3 week projects) and met our first team..  We worked at a camp/retreat called "Frost Bridge Holinesss Camp".  The grounds are beautiful but you have to keep an eye on the creek rising when it rains.  We actually had to move our rig to higher grounds the 2nd week we were there.  A nearby church, "Isney Baptist Church" offered us their parking lot to "dry camp" and we were really grateful for their hospitality.  Oh yes....our rig we got stuck leaving the "Holiness Camp" to go to the church.

SPECIAL NOTE:  The camp is currently looking for Caretakers.  This couple would live on the premises, free of charge, and must keep the grounds up.  No income with this position.

The Men Painted all the Benches

See the ROPE ...if they don't tie the benches in
they will float away when the waters rise.

Our FIRST STOP in Mississippi was at Gulf Islands National Seashore...another inexpensive way to "Cadillac Camp"; this is my expression for living in our motor home these days. At this place we had electricity and water but had to use their dump station once. Really enjoyed riding bikes here on their road trails. Near the end of our four day stay I slipped down one of our exit steps and set my back off AGAIN!  Accidents and me are near cousins these days.
